Box-Pouch-Group

The freestanding box pouch provides maximum stability and exceptional branding opportunities with its flat bottom and side gussets.

With a total of five panels for graphics, logos and product information, the box pouch is created from a main web (front, back, and bottom panels) and a side gusset web. Side gussets can be clear to provide visibility of the product inside, and they can also be terminated at the top to allow for zippers, sliders, and other closure types. Box pouches allow more filling volume than traditional stand up pouches of the same height. With even more opportunities to utilize additional features, the box pouch is truly a standout product that is growing in popularity.

Available Box Pouch Features

Tear Notches

Tear notches provide a starting point for the consumer to tear the pouch open.

Hang Holes

A hole punched into the top of the pouch allows it to hang on a hook in the store.

Handle Holes

Standard or custom handle holes assist the consumer with carrying large, awkward or heavy pouches.

Vents

Vents allow air to move through the pouch and prevent it from bursting when squeezed or flattened.

Press-to-Close
Zippers & Closures

Our variety of zippers includes small and large flange, leak-resistant, tactile, soft touch, and powder-resistant.

Slider Closures

Multiple styles of slider closures are available. Coming Soon: Child-Resistant Sliders!

Labels

Labels, such as removable coupons or freshness seals, can be applied during the production process.

One-Way Valves

One-way valves allow gases to escape the pouch without letting oxygen in. This keeps certain products fresher and can improve shelf life.

Laser Scores

The top layer of film is lightly scored to assist the consumer in opening the pouch (often placed between tear notches).

Inkjet Printing

Codes can be printed on the pouch during production for traceability, reward codes, or
any other application.

Perforations

A dashed line is punched through all film layers to assist the consumer in opening the pouch (typically placed between tear notches).

Wickets

Hanging bundles on wicket wires can reduce hand-loading time for filling. Once the pouches are filled, the wicket and wicket lip are removed.

Pocket Zip®

By applying both flanges of a press-to-close zipper on one panel only, this innovative closure is particularly useful for powders and granules that may otherwise get stuck in the closure during filling. The consumer accesses the product by grasping a tab and pulling a tear strip open to expose the zipper.
